Who am I?
I am a Lawyer from Seville (Andalusia), co-founder and member of the human rights association Grupo 17 de Marzo as well as member of cooperatives Atrapasueños SCA and Coop57 Andalucía. I left my job in Andalusia in December 2009 to find new paths for my career focusing on human rights isues and enjoy new experiences in different countries.
At the moment I work in Brussels for a NGO dealing with digital rights, namely on data protection, surveillance and copyright related issues. Before coming to Belgium I lived in Serbia, Italy, Greece, Germany, the Netherlands and Austria.
After so much traveling I thought it could be a good idea to share my experiences with others, specially my friends and relatives, but also all those interested in Human Rights, politics and music.
Why the name of the blog?
“Los mundos de Diego” (“Diego’s worlds”) is a reference both to the Zapatista slogan and to the kid’s TV show “Los Mundos de Yupi“, because the last years have been so fascinating that I feel sometimes like a young kid, learning every day new things.
